GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KJCT)-- It’s been a long time coming for teachers and students at the new Orchard Mesa Middle School, but they have finally moved into their new building. They celebrated on Jan. 9 with a ribbon cutting.
Crews broke ground on the new building nearly two years ago.
Officials say the new building will improve student learning. The old school they were in will be torn down in the Spring.
"It feels amazing, when I first saw it, I honestly thought that it feels more like an almost a college campus,” says Eighth Grade Student Max Wilson.
