GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KKCO/KJCT)-- Nathan Ryan is one of five people charged in the Kyle Free murder case. His family says he knew nothing about it.

Ryan's mother Virginia told KJCT News 8 he was friends with Rebecca Walker and Timothy Russman. She said Ryan and Russman would often go over to Rebecca Walker's to clean up the place, and that Russman is lying when he says Ryan was involved in burying Kyle Free's body.

“I feel like Nathan will get acquitted in trial, because he's a good man and he didn't do this, he did not know about this,” said Virginia Ryan, Nathan Ryan's mother.

Nathan Ryan was charged with accessory to murder, tampering with evidence and abuse of a corpse in December 2018. His trial will start in October.
