Local group talks about the impact of outdoor recreation
A local group met to talk about outdoor projects and the effect they'll have on our economy.
The Outdoor Recreation Coalition looks to help businesses promote all things outdoors.
Colorado Department of Natural Resources Executive Director, Dan Gibbs, met with the group to chat about the positive impact our local projects will have for the area.
He says they're attracting new businesses, like Rocky Mounts.
"Outdoor Recreation is considered one of our leading economic drivers in the state of Colorado, bringing in about 60 million a year." Says Gibbs.
Officials say the development of the Las Colonias park and the Palisade Plunge are going to bring even more business to the area.
