A local company is celebrating Colorado manufacturing month by letting the public get an inside look at some pretty cool manufacturing done right here on the Western Slope.

Reynolds Polymer Technology is a group that makes acrylic solutions -- that's a fancy way of saying they make things like big fish tanks for aquariums and glass exhibits for museums.

They've also been involved in projects with companies like CNN, Disney and Apple.

Wednesday, they invited people to tour their space in Grand Junction and see just how big their manufacturing company is here at home.

"We like to involve the community with what we do," Bart Baker, Reynolds Polymer Technology, said. "We do jobs all over the world. Big aquariums and large structures, acrylic structures."

The company is looking to grow a bit too, they're looking to hire nearly 20 people right now.
