GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KJCT)-- Three Boy Scout troops are working together to raise money for their outings by selling Christmas Trees.
The three troops are having a Christmas tree lot in the parking lot of Sutherlands on Patterson.
They started out with around 500 trees and hope to sell out before their last sale date in mid-december.
Officials say that the money goes towards helping the boys with things like summer camp and other costs.
“There’s a lot of scouts that don’t have enough money or need money, or in trouble, so we do this to help pay for everything because it’s pretty expensive,” says Boy Scout Troop 303 Coltan Gechter.
Local boy scouts have been selling the trees each year for nearly 40 years.
