GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KJCT)-- A local non-profit wanted to show some love to law enforcement agencies for Valentine's Day.
The Mount Garfield Daughters of the American Revolution made heart shaped cookies for officers.
The non-profit wanted to show police how much they are appreciated and supported by the community.
“Valentine’s Day is of course a day of the heart and the police are so important in keeping us safe and keeping our streets safe," Says Sheryl Fitzgerald with the Mount Garfield Chapter NSDAR. "So we just want to send our true appreciation for all they do.”
The group also delivered cookies to Mesa County Sheriff's, Fruita PD and State Patrol.
This is the fifth year the ladies have visited local law enforcement agencies for Valentine's Day.
