GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KKCO/KJCT)-- A juvenile male was charged with felony auto theft after law enforcement found an alleged stolen truck Sunday night in Grand Junction.
At about 10 p.m. deputies with the Mesa County Sheriff's office were called to a pickup truck on Bookcliff Avenue and Clifton Way, which is not far from 32 Road and I-70B. The pickup was identified as one reported stolen on Saturday.
The sheriff’s office says a deputy talked to three juveniles in the area, and found one had the key to the truck. We're told three male juveniles were taken to the sheriff's office, where they waited until an adult came to get them.
One juvenile was charged with auto theft, criminal trespass of an auto, and illegal possession of marijuana under 21. The juvenile was issued a summons and released to an adult.
