GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KKCO/KJCT) -- You've probably heard of John Mayer, and if you follow him on Instagram, like millions of others, you may have seen him singing about a local toffee company.
Enstrom Candies is a Grand Junction candy company. They say they were pleasantly surprised that Mayer took to social media with their brand.
"It was a huge surprise for us," Jim Simons, a self-described fourth generation candy maker, said. "We didn't expect him to do anything. It's not like we sent him the candy and expected it. My brother actually sent the candy over to his manager, who he happens to be friends with, and the toffee somehow made it over to John Mayer and I guess he liked it."
In the video, Mayer sings about eating just one piece of toffee and throwing the rest away, to diet, of course. Then perhaps two pieces. Then a few more. He even eats a piece of toffee out of the trash because, well, it's just too tasty to throw away.
