GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. The Colorado Department of Transportation's contract said construction on Horizon Drive must be done by the end of August.
Contractors hope to have all lanes of the roundabouts done by the end of July.
The next project will be extending the ramps onto I-70.
"I really like the large sidewalk. Cars are going slower and I think [drivers are] paying attention more, because it's more of a challenge to figure out," said Jeremiah McDonald.
As they finish putting in the final touches, those exiting I-70 will now be greeted by six-iron and steel wild horses. The horses were commissioned by the Horizon Drive Businesses District, and built by a Vermont Artist.
