HopeWest lights of life

GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KJCT News)-- Not a dark spot in the garden at HopeWest on Monday as they kicked off their holiday celebration.

HopeWest officially lit up their entire outdoor garden with a beautiful display of lights. Monday's annual 'Lights of Life' goes to honor loved ones during this special time of year. The Palisade High School choir performed a number of Christmas carols. Families explored the campus with a 12 Days of Christmas scavenger hunt.

"We have a lot of people who enjoy this campus, either for the restaurant, people from assisted living who walk over here, people have all kinds of pictures here; it's amazing. It's a community gathering place, so we wanted it to be equally inviting in the winter," says HopeWest CEO, Christy Whitney.

HopeWest plans to keep the light display up for the rest of the holiday season.
