A potentially explosive situation was averted when firefighters extinguished a fuel truck fire at a gas station on Orchard Mesa Monday afternoon.
The fire happened at the Go-Fer station in the 2700 block of Highway 50.
Grand Junction Fire Department said the cab of the truck was fully engulfed when they arrived on the scene.
