GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KKCO/KJCT)-- The Grand Junction Fire Department is working to find out what caused a fire behind the North Avenue Walmart Tuesday night.
Around 11:30 p.m. Tuesday, crews were called to a report of a fire. When they got to the scene, they found a large cardboard recycling storage area on fire.
No one was hurt, according to crews. They were quickly able to put it out before it spread.
Business was able to continue at the store.
The city's public works department helped to provide machinery to spread out the compacted cardboard so crews could check for hotspots.
It's unclear as to what actually started the fire.
