PALISADE, Colo. (KKCO/KJCT) -- For 31 years Marillac Health has been providing primary health care in Mesa County, regardless of a patient's income or ability to pay.
Edesia is an annual fundraiser that supports the clinic. This year's festive food and wine soiree drew inspiration from the French Quarter, giving guests a taste of New Orleans at the Wine Country Inn.
Live music, food, wine tasting and a silent auction all a part of the annual event, but at the end of the day, organizers say, it’s about offering support and medical care for the people in Mesa County who need it most.
“It’s an awareness of what Marillac does in the community and the services that are provided. The funds raised help to subsidize care for patients who don’t have insurance,” Marillac Community Development Director, Kristy Schmidt said.
