GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KKCO/KJCT)-- The fourth annual Downtown Art Festival filled the streets with local artists and vendors.
Along with the many vendors, there was also a temporary art exhibit where artists could showcase their work. They had the chance to talk to the community about the meanings behind their art pieces.
People were able to vote on their favorite piece, and the winner will win an "Art On the Corner," people's choice award. Guests were also able to explore galleries, and different downtown restaurants.
"It's really nice to connect with the customers because a lot of people, they look online for art, and they don't really, like they don't make that connection, they don't know who it is. Like they talk to you, they can ask you about your process, they can ask you what inspired you,” says Fae Forge K.D. Morey.
Tomorrow the Grand Junction Film Fest will wrap up the downtown festivities with an event at the Avalon Theatre.
