UPDATE: Victim in Redlands shooting identified

GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KKCO/KJCT)-- UPDATE: The coroner’s office has identified the man killed in a shooting on Wednesday as a 40-year-old man from Grand Junction.

The Mesa County Coroner’s office said Brett Borza died of a gunshot wound to the chest and abdomen, and the manner of his death was homicide.

The sheriff’s office says everyone involved in a deadly shooting that happened Wednesday on the Redlands is accounted for, and they aren’t looking for anyone else.

MCSO also says two people they talked to while investigating the shooting were arrested on unrelated warrants.

Tommy Kelly, 41, of Grand Junction was arrested on a failure to appear warrant out of Mesa County. Arianna Campbell, 24, also of Grand Junction, was arrested on a contempt of court warrant, also out of Mesa County, according to the sheriff’s office.

Just before 3 p.m. Wednesday, the Mesa County Sheriff's Office responded to a report of a shooting on Saguaro Drive on the Redlands.

Deputies say one man was shot and killed.

Investigators collected evidence and interviewed witnesses about what happened.

According to the Mesa County Sheriff's Office, the gunshot was not self-inflicted. However, they believe everyone involved in the incident is accounted for and they are not searching for any suspects.

Deputies say there is no ongoing threat to the community.
