Gas prices continue to drop across our state. In some places, plummeting below two dollars.

Mesa County has some of the lowest priced fuel in Western Colorado. Our average is at $2.11. That's 20 cents less than a month ago.

Denver has an average of about $1.94 cents.

According to AAA Colorado, there’s more supply than demand driving the cost down and it has to do with this winter weather.

"We are in a pretty low demand time of year anyway, winter is not really driving season and then we've seen these frigid temperatures both in Colorado and across the country. That's further driving the demand down that results in a lot of supply and not a lot of demand and that keeps prices plummeting,” said Skyler McKinley, AAA Colorado.

According to, Grand Junction’s cheapest gas is at Sams club for $2.01. For Montrose check out City Market or Conoco on Townsend. That's at about $2.17 cents. Delta the Sinclair on Main Street is at $2.01.
