FRUITA, Colo. (KKCO/KJCT)-- Cold weather isn't gone yet, and neither are the fire dangers that come with it.
A house on J Road in Fruita was almost engulfed in flames Wednesday. Lower Valley Fire got the call around 11 a.m. Smoke was billowing out the top story of the house. Turned out, the fire department said towels were close to a space heater.
No one was hurt, but they said there was heavy damage to one room and a deck.
