GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KKCO/KJCT)-- UPDATE: Just before noon Monday, the accident alert was canceled.
Original story: The City of Grand Junction is still on accident alert as of 10:30 a.m. Monday. The GJFD posted the notice on their Facebook page just after 8 a.m.
The alert means if you got into a crash and no one was hurt, intoxicated, or needed a tow truck, you could exchange information and file a police report within 48 hours, instead of calling 911.
Thankfully the snow is done for Monday, though it caused a lot of problems on the roads in the morning hours.
Law enforcement officers responded to numerous crashes and slide-offs across the Grand Valley. The roads were very slick after the snow moved through. Tow trucks also had a busy morning rescuing drivers.
