GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KKCO/KJCT News)-- On Monday Grand Junction City Council held a workshop meeting to discuss impact fees.
They specifically talked about Fire, Police, Municipal Facilities and Park fees. So far, City Council has made a plan to increase impact fees. They are trying to determine an appropriate amount that matches the city's growth.
"The developers know that currently the level of service and the level that they pay is maybe a little bit lacking. But there's also a point of contention with it being raised too high to curb development in our community," says Grand Junction Chamber member, C.J. Rhyne.
Water Plant Investment fees were also discussed at Monday's workshop.
