GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KKCO/KJCT)-- It’s less than a month until the municipal election. There soon will be some fresh faces on Grand Junction City Council.
The Redlands Rotary hosted a forum and debate between two District B candidates. Aaron Michelson and Phillip Pe'a spoke about what they would do if elected, they both put emergency services at the top of their priority list.
"My district has been ignored. We have a bad situation where you could die waiting for an ambulance. We have sidewalks in some areas but in other areas, kids have to walk in the street to get to school," said Aaron Michelson.
"I just think there is a disconnect between the citizens and the council and being able to reach out to the citizens and keep them informed and use transparency," said Phillip Pe'a.
This year’s municipal election is Tuesday, April 2. Your ballot will be mailed out on Monday.
