GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KKCO/KJCT News)-- Saturday was the last day of the Mesa County Fair and what better way to kick off the final day, than with a bunch of cats?

The event was called Caturday, and featured lots of kittens and cats that are up for adoption at Roice-Hurst Humane Society. The goal was to attract local pet lovers who are thinking about making a new addition to the family. There were also feline focused speakers and a cat talent show, which of course, was open to all talented cats.
"Today's proceeds are all going to help out the Roice-Hurst Humane Society and to help out other stray dogs, cats, any animals in need. We have a whole bunch of animals in the Roice-Hurst Humane Society that need a lot of love and a lot of families," said Fair Ambassador, Taylor Rubalcaba.
Other vendors featured cat toys and care information, to make sure cats don't run out of all nine lives.
