St. Mary's is getting a check from Chevron. A $6,000 check was given to CareFlight of the Rockies on Friday. The money will be used to purchase much needed radios. The gift is part of a matching grant from the Department of Public Health and Environment.
"I think that communication is akin to safety, so it's one of the challenges that we face on a daily basis," says Flight Nurse, Loree Cutts.
St. Mary's says these radios will help with the efficiency and accuracy of the life-saving flights.
