GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KJCT)-- 2019 was a busy year for the housing market in Mesa County and it doesn't seem to be slowing down.
Though the winter weather was a problem at the beginning of the year, there was an uptick in residential construction.
Grand Junction, Fruita and Palisade also saw a rise in fees to fund new infrastructures. With these, the goal is to help communities better plan for the future.
"Number of fillings for foreclosures is down as well, year over year. So that's good," says Brian Donaldson, Broker Associate with Bray. "As we know, that has a lot to do with what is happening in our market place."
The busiest subdivisions for 2019 were Sundance Village, Heritage Heights, Mountain View, Pioneer Meadows and Granite Falls.
