GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KJCT)-- Ballots for the presidential primary will be mailed out on Friday, Feb. 14.
Officials want people to know that If you are unaffiliated you will get two ballots in the mail. Only fill out one. If you mark both, neither will count.
There are 7 drop off locations, a new ballot box has been added at Colorado Mesa University.
This is also the first year 17-year-olds will get to vote in Colorado, as long as they turn 18 by election day.
"It's important to make your voice heard. And so now with younger people being able to vote, people learning the issues. It's important and sometimes these races come down to a very slim margin, so just know that your vote counts,” says Mesa County Clerk and Recorder Tina Peters.
This is the first election since 2000 where Coloradans will vote as a primary state rather than a caucus.
