Headstones knocked over, damaged in Delta; will cost thousands to fix

The Delta Police Department is asking for the public's help to find the person who damaged headstones at the city's cemetery on Third Street.

Police said 13 headstones were knocked over or damaged on the west side of the cemetery. Damage and repairs are estimated at $9,000.

Police were called Sunday afternoon, but it's not known exactly when the damage actually happened.
