DELTA, Colo. (KJCT)- A thirty-minute chase across Delta Wednesday evening led to the arrest of 22-year-old Delta resident Zachary David Bayhan. Bayhan is facing a slew of charges.
Bayhan was a known, wanted subject in Delta, and police observed him outside of a residence as he was getting into a vehicle at approximately 6:30 p.m.
Police were able to trace the license plates to a stolen gray Audi sedan. Police attempted to pull the suspect over, but Bayhan failed to negotiate.
The Delta PD, Delta County Sheriff's, and Colorado State Troopers all responded in the pursuit. Troopers were able to deploy "stop sticks" to render the vehicle inoperable and it eventually came to a stop in the City Market Parking lot.
Bayhan was arrested for the following charges:
-Obstruction of Governmental Operations
-Two counts of Felony Bail Bond Violation
-Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
-Possession of a Schedule 2 Controlled Substance
-Drove a Motor Vehicle While License Revoked
His bond is listed as $49,500.
