Car flies off 50 ft. cliff

MESA COUNTY, Colo. (KJCT)- Just before 10 A.M., on Feb. 9, 2020, a car traveling north bound on 38 Road struck a concrete barrier on the right side of the road.

It then bounced off, hit a fence, and plunged off a 50 foot cliff.

Colorado State Patrol says the female driver had non-life threating injures, and upon further inspection of her vehicle, the tires did not have proper tread depth.

She was immediately taken to the hospital following the accident.

No other passengers were within the vehicle.

No road closures took place during this time.

This incident is currently still under investigation.
