GLENWOOD SPRINGS, Colo (KJCT)- The Forest Service has decided to finally replace the Big Burn Chairlift at the Snowmass ski area.

This decision enables Aspen Skiing Company to replace the existing chairlift with a new six passenger, high-speed detachable lift. The current lift is ready for replacement with new levels of technology and comfort that will provide more consistent access to popular intermediate terrain.

“The Big Burn area is some of the best skiing and riding at Snowmass. Guests will continue to enjoy the terrain while utilizing new lift technologies that will make for a great ride to the top,” said Kevin Warner, District Ranger for the Aspen–Sopris Ranger District.

Installation will likely occur in summer 2020. For additional information please visit the following link:CLICK HERE TO LEARN MORE
