MESA, Colo. (KJCT) - Today was also the debut of the umbrella bar at Powderhorn.
This eatery, with panoramic views of the slopes and Plateau Valley, has been in the works since the beginning of the summer. Just like the name suggests, on nice days, the roof folds up like an umbrella for skiers to get a little sunshine while still being protected from the elements.
“We really wanted to the connection between indoors and outdoors and you really get that feeling when you’re inside the umbrella bar. It’s an exceptional place to have a bite to eat after a day on the snow,” says Ryan Robinson, marketing and sales director for Powderhorn.
The umbrella bar will have a different menu than the other restaurants in the resort with craft cocktails and small bites.
