Delta, Colo. (KJCT) - Delta was one of seven Colorado Counties to receive grant money from the Electronic Recording Technology Board.
The County Clerk and Recorders got $28,000 from the Electronic Recording Technology Board. The money will be used for a marriage license kiosk that will make getting the paperwork accessible for non-English speakers and those with disabilities. The money is also going towards county records preservation and recovery in case of a disaster.
“I think security now with your personal information is very important. That’s a big thing. The more that we can do that and alleviate their concern about their personal information, that’s probably the biggest think we’re hearing feedback on. They’ll be able to hold that information more privately,” says County Clerk Teri Stephenson.
The county clerk said folks will get to see these improvements in efficiency and security at the beginning of the year.
