GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KJCT) - Tomorrow is Colorado Gives Day, focused on raising money for Colorado charities, but local nonprofits want to bring that generosity even closer to home.
39 charities are setting up shop in Mesa Mall from 10 to 9 tomorrow. They'll be answering questions about their nonprofits and helping visitors make donations—no matter how small-- to their charity of choice.
“Every donation makes an impact. When it’s added to all the other donations, then that really is significant in the eyes of the nonprofit and the care and support they provide to their community,” says Kristy Schmidt, director of development at MarillacHealth.
If you're going to give, tomorrow is the day to do so: first bank has donated about a million and a half dollars in what they call and incentive fund which helps each donation go a little bit further.
