GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KJCT) - Maybe you wanted a little exercise after a big meal of turkey and stuffing last night or just wanted to enjoy a little sunshine before the rain rolled in.
Colorado Parks and Wildlife made it easier today to enjoy the outdoors with Fresh Air Friday. All across the Colorado, admission was free to all 41 state parks. CPW wanted to offer folks a peaceful alternative instead of the usual early morning shopping frenzy.
“I think it’s great to be able to be out instead of fighting the battles at the shopping malls. We would’ve been out here rain or shine,” says Grand Junction visitor Alissa Powers.
CPW says instead of looking for sales around town, Colorado outdoors are the best deal out there.
