GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KJCT) - It’s that time of year for scary movies and Halloween decorations, but how about scaring yourself for a good cause?
That’s what local man Bobby Howell has put together at his own home. Bobby had put on several haunted houses in his home state of Nevada, but Savage Lands Haunted House is a little different. He teamed up with Homeward Bound.
“He came to us with an idea, very excited, and wanted to do something. He’s very into Halloween; it’s one of his favorite holidays and just wanted to be able to give back to the community,” says Grand Valley Homeward Bound Director of Operations Jennifer Godwyn.
There is no cash entry fee, but Bobby is asking for people to donate nonperishable food or clothing items for the homeless.
