Drive Thru Flu Shots for Vets

GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KJCT) - The Grand Junction VA is having a Drive Thru Flu Shot clinic. Tomorrow from 8-1 vets can pull up to the front entrance and get the vaccine without even leaving their car. The event is free to veterans and caters to those who might be working during the week. The VA and other Mesa County officials are making it as easy as possible to stay healthy this season.

“Sometimes you have to have an appointment; for people who are working Monday through Friday, it's kind of difficult to make time to come over here. We are just trying to ease that burden and have a Saturday clinic so that they can get their flu shot and we can keep them healthy,” says Ramona O’Neill, Nurse Manager for Primary Care at the Grand Junction VA.

For those who miss it tomorrow, there will be another Drive Thru Flu Clinic in November.
