GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KJCT)- On Wednesday, the Colorado Symphony visited the Davita Grand Junction Dialysis Center as part of the DaVita Day of Music.

Patients with end-stage renal disease need dialysis or a kidney transplant to stay alive.

Nurses say the process is long, lonely and draining, and that music therapy can improve quality of life for them.

The symphony is stopping at 26 dialysis centers across the state.
