GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. — Grand Junction Police are investigating a death on the Colorado Mesa University campus. Law enforcement was called to Confluence Hall just after 7 a.m. on Tuesday on a report of an unresponsive person.
The building is located off 7th Street and Elm Ave.
Police said in a tweet that the deceased person is not believed to be a CMU student. There is no threat to the school.
It’s not immediately clear where in the building the death occurred. Our crew on scene could see glass broken on an exterior door to the building but it’s not clear if or how that might be connected to the person found inside.
The building hosts labs, engineering classrooms, and the Eureka! Math and Science center.
The building will be closed for the remainder of the day.
