2045 Regional Transportation planning seeks feedback from the community

GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KKCO/KJCT News)-- The city is seeking your input on transportation in the Grand Valley, and how it could be improved.

Monday was the first of several sessions for the 2045 Regional Transportation planning. It’s a plan that is used to look into the future- between now and the year 2045- to plan out all modes of transportation, including walking, biking, driving and using freight trains.

"We get lots of different people who have different opinions. Some people want more biking and walking facilities. Some people want more money spent on maintenance to maintain our infrastructure. Some people want more capacity and are worried about congestion. So a lot of people have different interests in our transportation network," says the director of the Grand Valley Regional Transportation Planning Office, Dana Brosig.

If you still want to give your input, there are two more opportunities:

Tues, Sept 10th 12-1:30 pm, Mesa County Central Library
Tues, Sept 10th 4:30-6 pm, Clifton Community Hall
