GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KKCO/KJCT-- Sept. 8 was the 4th annual Wuffstock Music Festival and dogs were at every corner of Lincoln Park.
The event is hosted by the Roice Hurst Humane society, and they say their main goal is to create a space for people in the community to enjoy a full day of bonding with their pets. The event will also help fundraise for their shelter pets.
In addition to the festival, the dog days of summer was right around the corner, with around 200 dogs coming out each year.
“It’s awesome because people are really intimidated by him, I mean he’s a hundred pound one year old lab, and people see him and think, oh he’s a giant dog and I don’t want to come near him. So now, he actually gets to interact with other dogs and play and he loves jumping and diving,” says Grand Junction Dog Owner Kindall Hatzenbuehler.
There were several bands performing, food trucks, and local beer and wine.
