2 people, puppy rescued from semi rollover on I-70

GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KKCO/KJCT)-- Two people and their puppy were rescued from a semi rollover on Interstate 70 early Saturday morning.

It happened at about 3 a.m. just west of the Horizon Drive exit on I-70.

The Grand Junction Fire Department got the driver, passenger and their puppy out safely, according to our crews on scene. They were checked out at the scene but weren’t seriously injured.

The Grand Junction Police Department is investigating what caused the crash. The interstate was shut down for several hours while crews cleaned up debris.
