GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KJCT)-- One person is dead after an early morning shooting in Fruita early Wednesday morning.
The Mesa County Coroner's Office has confirmed that Luis Busani, 37, of Grand Junction, died from gunshot wounds to the chest, and the manner is a homicide.
Fruita police originally responded just after midnight to a report of a man who was shot by a woman on North Coulson Street.
Details are still limited as Fruita Police continue to investigate.
When police arrived at the house, they found a deceased man with a gunshot wound.
There is no word yet on the identities of the shooter but officials believe it was an isolated incident.
Neighbors say that the woman ran across the street saying she shot her husband and that's when 911 was called.
The Colorado Bureau of Investigations is assisting with the investigation as well.
FPD is working with the DA's office to decide if any charges will be filed
