PALISADE, Colo. (KKCO/KJCT)-- It's finally here! On Sept. 21, thousands of people made their way to Riverbend Park for the 28th annual Colorado Mountain Winefest.
64 Colorado Wineries were at the park serving unlimited sips of wine.
In addition to the wine, there were also educational seminars, vendors and live music.
Officials say over 6,000 people were at the park and tickets sold out fast. People came from 40 states and nine countries. All of the money raised today will go towards the Colorado Wine and Grape industry.
"It's really good exposure, we're on the other side of the valley, and so a lot of people that come for wine tasting, they may stay in Palisade and never come over there," says Two Rivers Winery Rob Crowell. "So, it's a nice way to kind of let everyone know that we're there. So, it's a nice way to kind of let everyone know that we're there, and I don't know we'll see thousands of people. And I guess at least half of them have never had our wine before."
The first round of tickets for next year will go on sale on December 2 for a cyber Monday deal.
