Police respond to shots fired call at apartment complex
GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KJCT) - UPDATE: Police are still looking for the person involved in a shots fired call that happened at an apartment complex Monday.
According to the Grand Junction Police Department, a bail agent went to the apartment to serve a warrant for a wanted person. The person at the apartment waved a gun at the bail agent, and the agent shot at them. Police say that single gunshot fire by the bail agent missed the wanted person.
A shelter in place was sent to everyone in the apartment complex, and officers evacuated nearby units, according to GJPD.
Police say the residence was cleared, and the person was not found inside.

Initial story: Grand Junction police responded to a report of shots fired at a local apartment complex on Monday.
It happened just before 10:00 a.m. Monday morning at the apartments on Railyard Loop, behind the Walmart on Rimrock.
When officers got there, they secured the perimeter. They also tried to make contact with the person connected to the incident in one of the apartment units.
The SWAT team was called in as well. Police say several units were evacuated as officers continued their search.
We talked to one resident who said she was evacuated and was not allowed back into her apartment.
