GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KJCT) - During the height of the pandemic, Mutual Aid Partners was created to help people in the community get basic supplies like canned food and other non-perishable goods. Now, they continue to help the community every Tuesday from 10 a.m. - 1 p.m.

Local feedback has been very supportive and encouraging. “Right now, there’s no end in sight,” said Mutual Aid Director Stephania Vasconez.

Some of the organizations involved included Roice-Hurst, which has supplies for pets. There were also people from LEAP with the Mesa County Department of Human Services at the event to help residents fill-out applications to receive help with paying for utilities.

If you would like to make a donation, you can drop off supplies on Tuesdays after 9 a.m. in the Unitarian Universalist Church parking lot on Ouray Avenue.
