GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KJCT) - According to the Ute Water Conservancy District, a waterline along L Road close to 21 Road broke early Sunday morning in Mesa County. Ute Water is saying some residents in Mack and Loma may experience a water outage as a result. Residents may also be seeing decreased water pressure.

According to the district, “Our crews will work around the clock until the waterline is repaired. Our goal is to have customers back in service as quickly as possible.”

Crews arrived Sunday morning to expose the lines & worked to fix the break by replacing that part of the line.

“Our customers might notice that the water has a cloudy look to it,” said Ute Water external affairs manager Andrea Lopez. “That’s just because there’s air in the lines from the repair today, especially because of the size of the line. The water is completely safe to drink & consume. And the air should dissipate out of the line after it’s been run a couple times.”

Ute Water says the lines were fixed around 7 p.m. this evening.
