Rep. Boebert sworn into office over the weekend, draws attention with new ad
WASHINGTON D.C (KJCT) - Colorado’s Third Congressional District’s new elected leader Lauren Boebert was officially sworn into the 117th Congress on Sunday, and she is already making noise in Washington D.C.
Boebert took to Twitter to release a photo of her and her family surrounding a Bible, and with her left hand on it and her right hand raised. In the post, she states, “I will work extremely hard to get the job done in a way that makes rural Colorado proud of their new Representative & more importantly, deliver results.”
Boebert garnished the most attention this weekend after releasing an ad of her standing up to critics that are saying she shouldn’t carry a Glock on Captitol Hill.
“Even though I now work in one of the most liberal cities in America, I refuse to give up my rights, especially my second amendment rights, says Boebert. Boebert also noted her small stature and the rising crime rate in the D.C. area for the reasoning behind her position to carry on Capitol Hill.
