HS BB Roundup: Central, Palisade, Fruita Monument, Gunnison score Tuesday wins

GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. Tuesday was a very busy day on the baseball diamond, as several big local matchups led to shakeups within league standings.

In the Southwestern League, Fruita Monument handed Montrose their second loss in a row, as they come back from a four-run hole to win 5-4. The Wildcats are now 5-0 atop the SWL.

In the nightcap at Suplizio Field, Central's Michael Price threw a complete game shutout, allow just seven hits and striking out nine, as the Warriors knock off the Grand Junction Tigers 5-0.

Palisade met an 11-0 Delta team for the first time this year, and got a gem from Tass Crow. He throws 6.2 inning and allows no runs, as the Bulldogs prove again to be 4A Western Slope League's top team, downing the Panthers 6-2.

In 3A WSL, the Gunnison Cowboys were in Olathe after just being ranked #7 in 3A on Monday. They had no problem taking care of the Pirates 6-0.
