DENVER, Colo. Eddie Butler made his Major League debut in Denver last Friday, and while he flashed some great potential, he couldn't make it out of the sixth inning, giving up six runs in the loss to the Dodgers.
Now if he's looking to redeem himself he will have to wait a bit longer for his next start, as he was sent to the 15-day disabled list Monday afternoon with inflamation in the rotator cuff of his throwing arm.
Butler threw 87 pitches in the game, but the move is a "precautionary", and the injury isn't considered serious.
Also heading to the 15-day disabled list is outfielder Michael Cuddyer who injured his left shoulder Thursday against Arizona. Replacing the two are pitchers Chad Bettis and Christian Bergman.
