District 51 Superintendent Steve Shultz believes it takes a village to raise a child.
He also believes that village can help set the standards for their kids to rise to.
That's where visioning sessions come in to play.
It might be hard to believe, but kids on the western slope aren't really getting out much. At least that’s what a show of hands reveals for Colorado Canyons Association and Bureau of Land Management employees during school field trips to places like Escalante Canyon. Those two groups and many more are working to reverse that trend.
