GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. The Grand Junction symphony orchestra gives the western slope community a look inside the nearly completed Avalon Theatre.
All eyes were on the seats at Tuesday's night's open house.
Symphony season ticket holders poured into the theatre to start picking out which seats they'll be calling their own for the upcoming year's shows.
Officials encouraged everyone to take their time and examine all the different views and angles of the stage they have to offer in the newly renovated theatre.
“With the symphony, we basically wanted to give an option mainly to our season ticket holders, to come in, see the new space, and get an idea where they might like to sit,” says Jeremy Herigstad of the Grand Junction Symphony Orchestra.
The Grand Junction Symphony Orchestra will be the first group to perform inside the Avalon Theatre.
The doors don't open for another two months but many of the best seats in the house are already being claimed.
The completion date for the Avalon Theatre Project is set for September 17th and you can catch the orchestra performance just a few days later on the 20th.
