Medical networking in the valley

GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. Medical moguls of the Grand Valley partner up to give patients a better healthcare experience.

St. Mary's hospital and primary care partners are in the research stage needed to create a clinically integrated network (CIN) of doctors, healthcare providers, and hospitals.

The goal of the CIN is to eliminate communications flaws that exist in our healthcare system in order to save patients extra trips to the doctor's office.

“From the patient's stand point, it's all about the experience, so is it a smooth ride in the healthcare world and that's not a smooth ride right now for too many people,” says Michael Pramenko of Primary Care Partners.

Experts say that the entire patient experience could be transformed by improved communication between medical entities.

Currently officials are conducting the necessary data analysis and legal authorization need to make the network function.

It's not going to be an easy process but healthcare providers are looking forward to raising the quality of medical attention in the Grand Valley.
